New issue of Philosophy and Society (Vol. 37, No. 3)

23.10.2026

We are pleased to announce the publication of the new issue of Philosophy and Society (Vol. 37, No. 3).

This issue features a thematic section titled “Phenomenology, Historical A Priori and the Quasi-Transcendental: Mapping the Complexity of What Is Unfolding”, guest-edited by Emanuele Caminada and Olga Nikolić Marić. The section explores the relationship between transcendental philosophy and historicity, examining how the conditions of experience, knowledge, and meaning can be understood as historically constituted, socially mediated, and open to transformation.

Contributions in the thematic section address topics such as Kantian philosophy and queer futurity, generativity and the maternal in Husserlian phenomenology, Merleau-Ponty’s conception of the historical a priori, Derrida’s engagement with Husserl and the notion of différance, and the quasi-transcendental dimensions of literary experience.

In addition to the thematic section, the issue includes a range of original research articles covering topics in political philosophy, social ontology, ethics, and social theory. These include discussions of self-determination and immigration controls, Heidegger’s notion of authenticity in architectural theory, parental perceptions of toys and play, Marxist social ontology and communal forms of life, and meritocracy reconsidered through Aristotle’s virtue ethics.

The issue also features a seminar with Patrik Schumacher titled “In the Age of Monopoly Capitalism”, as well as a book review examining the rejection of marginalized forms of knowledge.

The full contents of the new issue are available on the journal’s website: https://journal.ifdt.bg.ac.rs/index.php/fid/issue/view/110
